F11 topcoat is snake oil...complete garbage with great marketing. but it is no better than your average spray detailer.

You see it on here often. I try to come on as an honest consumer like many others to share how thrilled they are on it to help others, but you just get called an idiot, gullible, etc by people that have zero exposure to it.

    Can’t help the helpless ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’ve had great results on my past two new vehicles using a Chemical Guys product and doing myself. Wash, a light claybar and then coating. 100$ bottle is enough, like you said- for the entire vehicle and wheels plus another two cars I’d say. It’s not rocket science!

Nice, we had my wife's 4runner just done with a 5-year warranty. Where we got it applied he was the only certified Opti-coat installer in my area. There were other's but none were certified. Anyway, the first question out of his mouth when asking about ceramic coating do you wax your vehicles and our response was never. Then he replied, 'this is perfect for you'. In a nutshell, if you wax and wash your car regularly ceramic coating is pointless. Ceramic coating is for the lazy. During the 5 years if the water does bead up, they re-apply the problem area. Basically, the difference of warranty is how many coats they apply. 1 coat for 2-year warranty, 2 coats year warranty and I didn't ask for the latter option as I knew it would be to expensive.

I wouldn't call it lazy...I call it as you get older you don't have time to detail your truck as you would like. Most people find it washing their vehicles a chore...

It really is... I could have got a PhD with the amount of time wasted doing 3-step polish jobs on my lifetime of black cars.

On a side note: my taco is getting its Ceramic Pro application as we speak.

Where did you get it done and how much did it cost. Seems that we live in the same area and I’m interested in possibly doing this.

If I got a black car again, that's getting a coating no question about it!

I live in whittier it cost 995 with a 5 year warranty basically 2 coats it may be more depending if paint correction has to be done. They are located in garden Grove shop name is extreme edge professional... http://protectbyxe.com

If you get it done there they go over the car panel by panel when you drop it off and when you pick it up to fill out the warranty card as well. Then they will ask you to bring back your car after 10 days so they can check if it cured correctly and also gets a wash. So far we're happy. PM if have any other questions.

I had very good experience with CarPro CQuartz ceramic paint protection coat.
Fairly easy apply yourself to a car or truck. It gives protection for two years to the paint.
CarPro Reload Spray Sealant will extend and enhance CQuartz protective effect.

Just came back today. It should be noted that the truck looks vastly better than it did brand new. Weird how that works.
