So I hear the passenger side is a PITA? As in those who are afraid to not be gentle with metal or even for the mechanically inclined?

This tone might change in 8hrs. Check back later :D:fingerscrossed:

BTW I see a tap between the pivot and BJ. I'm assuming it's for an ABS clip? Does that get recycled off the truck or is it supposed to come with one?

Thanks in advance. Wish me luck and that there's time for an alignment today

    PS go Bruins

Passenger was the easier of the two sides for mine. @tacobell007
The tape is covering the hole for the bracket, yes. You can reuse the OEM for use a different method.
    Something like this could work:
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FOKIQ7...olid=1KHJN6N0TOSC6&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

I used something like this after seeing what @Unchained 5150 had:

Im a welder by trade. I look at my rear end every day and think "soon, soon you will be free" haha. My 3rd gen already has so much trail rash. But that's what I buy my Toyotas for.

So. After reading the printout, I looked at the picture and it's different than. What it says. Pull the out facing bushing and put washer on each side? Screenshot_20180421-113907~2.jpg

Paper says washer bushing washer, UCA tube mounted to truck.

Pic shows washer bushing, washer, UCA tube, bushing, uca tube on truck.

Haha help a brother out @Blackout14

If provided, flat washers go in between UCA's and frame of truck. Toyota factory washers go on the outside of the UCA's between bolt/nut heads and UCA's. Does this clear anything up?

Has anyone ordered new replacement ball joints with the new coating? Did Marlin do (refund full cost, etc) as it said in the email?

I’m in Alberta, Canada so I’m hoping he’ll still honour this for us.

Nice weather is here so time to tape off the Ball Joint top plate and give it a good wire brushing, then a little acetone, then some paint. Pics when done.
