    Welcome

    :hattip:

If you're going 3" up front you'll probably want some aftermarket UCA's to get proper geometry up front.

From what I've heard it will only go up 2.5 with lift for double cab which is maxed out or could be close? Should I go and try alignment or just pony up for the new UCA's?

I hear the light racing UCA is the way to go or should I look at others? Recommendations please and thank you!

I have no experience with the light racing UCA's but a lot of people like them. I've used Camburg UCA's with Moog ball joints and I currently have Total Chaos UCA's. The TC arms are great. Alignment is easy and the truck tracks like a laser beam. Very happy with them. I had no issues with the Camburgs but the TC arms just feel a lot better.

The TC arms do use a uniball.

I've learned the hard way to do it right the first time. I could have saved a lot of time and money just spending a little more initially to get exactly what I wanted for my truck.

Do it right, do it once. Buy once, cry once.

Just decide what you want to achieve and do your homework on the available products to meet your goal. Don't rush into anything.

    Edit: corrected spelling

I've heard that in 2nd gen it its pointless because it just rotates and is so minuscule that it is a waste of time/money. Also read that it can cause more damage when off-roading than just replacing the cv boot.

TW is a wealth of information for our trucks. And all kinds of people doing all kinds of things. It's not too difficult to find what does and doesn't work with our trucks on this website. Just do a little reading and you'll find everything you need. Good luck with your build. Post up some pics, too. Everyone loves pictures.

If you want that much lift you are def going to need new UCAs for a proper alignment.

Echoing what's already been said, prevent the headaches and alignment issues by buying quality UCAs.

I've run Dirt King UCAs for years and never an issue. Bulletproof and the customer service is top notch.

After more research and looking at my bank account I have decided to get the SPC UCA's as well as a carrier bearing drop kit ($450 on Amazon). Still not sold on the front diff drop.

I don't know of anyone personally that uses a front diff drop.
