@ink junky talked to the local Tundra/tacoma/t4runner group at cars n coffee this past weekend, would it be cool if I shared the details of this trip with them? They recently had an event in which they were invited to at the local 4wheel parts store and they had 60 rigs show up, could be cool but this is your event and don't want to post it out there without your thoughts first. You can PM if you like or we can leave it for open for discussion.

    Oooh that sounds interesting! :)
By all means if you can help spread the word then please, do so. :D

    The more the merrier!

Shall I put "+40" next to your name on the Going List?

Seriously though, it would be amazing if we got that many attendees just from your word alone. :D

How far up the beach do yall typically run? Till the crowd disappears? Also, does anybody stay the entire weekend or longer?

We normally go past everyone on the beach, set up camp by having everyone else park, extending the parking along the beach ... some go out to the east cut

No, no permits needed, you pay $12 a day at the entrance and the fun begins. July is hot times here in the RGV, so be prepared.

Did you all have any issues with pulling your Rv’s down the beach? Have considered tasking ours for this trip.

Our campers really only weigh about 800 lbs loaded, there small sleepers 8'x4', so no, no problems pulling them on the sand. In July the sand is softer, but iv seen rv's and bumper pulls out there, camping.
There's always the rv parks on the island www.cameroncountyparks.com the Andy Bowie Park is the smallet but cleanest, best to reserve now if possible.

Good to know, thanks for the information

Ours is heavier then then yours but worry about dragging on the sand too far.
