Brake Overload Malfuntion

Sounds like people shouldn't swap to different bulbs.

 

Well.....this is kinda embarrassing.....I had popped a fuse will messing with the dome light. I first checked the fuses under the hood, since you don't have to stand on your head to check them. Well.....it seems I got one (or more) out of place when I reinstalled them. So, It was all pilot error. I did learn something and hopefully someone else will learn from my stupidity.

 

Dear China:


Please stop selling your cheap LEDs and only sell dual polarity LEDs so people with no electrical knowledge will stop blowing fuses and BCMs

Actually, it's the dome light that is 31mm long. That's too long. I'm not going to bother it until I find the correct size. If I never find it...so be it. The 'so called' tight fit is ridiculous. Somebody needs to make the correct size, or stop yelping about it being the correct bulb.
All the other bulbs were no problem, but the dome light is just simply the wrong size.

 

I had to take a pair of pliers and pinch the ends down to get it to fit.

 

I found a couple of manufactures of dome lights that are 30mm instead of the 31mm on Ebay. Audak and Phillips make some. I'm going to try some Phillips.

 

Thats odd.. All my lights has been change to LED's and so far no dash error or anything unsual....

 

I installed the Phillips 30mm's without a hitch, and it didn't take a sledge hammer to make them fit. Anyone thinking about changing the dome light should do themselves a favor and get the shorter bulb. The only thing on the package is....Festoon 30mm-LED.
