I was getting a tick from the passenger side when I went over expansion joints, potholes. Not really a rattle, sounded like when a tiny rock hits glass on the freeway. Treated all the window tracks with Shin-Etsu, gone. Windows now move quicker, also did all the door seals. Discovered this stuff from the S2000 forums 10 years ago, been a fan since.

It could be the plastic on the A pillar. Known issue.

Appreciate the feedback, went down that path awhile ago. Confident it was the window.

I had a ticking noise on a new Nissan car several years ago. It was at the left upper corner of the driver side door, just to the left of my head.

It took a while to figure it out, but it was just the rubber seal/moulding making noise against the painted surface of the window frame.

I wiped the mouldings with some slippery vehicle vinyl/rubber trim cleaner/preservative and the noise was gone.

I also had the A pillar/dash tick on my Tacoma and fixed it by trimming the edge of the speaker grill with a razor knife and then also padded the parts with some thin foam rubber.

Thanks. I have both problems as well. Can you take and post a picture of the speaker grill. Also, what type of stuff did you use for the rubber trim cleaner? Thanks!!
