Order placed #5850! And acknowledged all about additional items delaying shipping if not in stock. I added a PC aluminum tailgate reinforcement so mine will be delayed due to it being backordered. Not a big deal though, I'm in and out the next couple months with training, etc, anyway, unfortunately. Thanks!

 

Do bed racks cause the bed to flex outward when you mount some weight to it (like a tent?)

 

Yes with the composite bed any weight causes stress.
There's a few company's that make stiffners that help

Thanks for getting those orders in! Discount deativates tonight, I think theres still 2 or so that need to order so you're down to the wire.

I'm going to go check on the powder coaters for all of you that ordered powder coated racks. They said on friday that we'd be looking at Monday ETA for parts completion but I never saw them yesterday so I'm going to check up. A few orders of the bare racks have now shipped out also, if we get the powder coat parts back today hopefully we can get all the other racks out this week.

And to those that asked, here are the traction board brackets that were optional.
The brackets span out the traction board pattern but can also be used (with the smaller holes cut in them) for additional quick fist mount locations for tools on the sides of the rack when boards are not used. The brackets include hardware to attach them to the side bars of the rack as shown, but for the board mounting itself that is up to the customer on how you would like to accomplish that. You can DIY a couple of the options I demonstrated in the pics (1/2" full thread bolts and a wing nut to snug down the boards, or even a hood pin system for quick release with the clips. Either way seems to cost about the same, the bolts ran around $2.50 ea at my local Lowes, the hood pins I snagged for about $8/pr so you'd need 2pr to utilize all 4 pin mounts) or utilize OE options like the Maxtrax mount pin kit. I personally really like the hood pin setup. Quick, easy, and affordable plus the rounded tip is great to slip the boards over.
