Im going to look at a 2005 fleetwood prowler 27 foot camper this weekend. I was wondering how my truck would handle it? I have a 2015 Tacoma double cab long bed with the tow package.

A 27’ trailer is a lot to tow with a Tacoma. You will probably be close or over the max weight. Exactly how much does it weigh? The weight is the key.

Only leaves you with 1500# total payload leftover. That includes you, gas, passengers, gear, propane, battery, beer, etc.

Edit: Airbags/heavy duty suspension , antisway systems will be of huge priority in my book . I tow a 22' 3750# dry and I'm pretty sure I'm close to capacity with 4 people and all our gear for 2-3 week trips.

You need to either consider a smaller trailer or a larger truck. By the time you load up the trailer you are either going exceed the max tow capacity or close to it. And when you load up your truck with passengers, gear, fuel etc. you’ll likely exceed gross combination weight rating. Exceeding vehicle weight ratings can be dangerous.
