currently running 5100's front and back. Running Dakars w/ AAL on rear. 5100s are too short for the rear so looking to upgrade to longer shocks. been looking at the billy 5125s and the B110s. is there any real difference other than collapsed and extended lengths? 5125s are 15.01" collapsed x 24.38" extended. B110s are 16.34" collapsed X 27.28" extended. if there's no difference other than legth i will go with the B110s. just trying to see who has ran them. also open to other suggestions that are on the cheaper side.

B110s are longer length to accept the full droop of the Dakars from my understanding. Very similar to King 25001-121 vs 121A.

Both will work with Dakar springs, but the 5125s being shorter run the risk of damage if you flex those springs to their full potential.

Wheeler's superbumps or the pricier Icon/Fox/King gas shock ones seem to be popular.

This is B110 with dakars with AAL. I'm running stock bumps, but extended the strike plate by 1" so I don't bottom out. A simple hockey puck bolted onto it achieves this.

    MEASURE!!!

You will need to figure out your collapsed shock length before you know what you will be able to run. Collapsed length is measured from center of bottom eye hole, to the surface the first washer (lowest washer) sits on the top shock stem mount.

Id bet B110's are too long for an AAL unless you really space out the bumpstop which would be counter intuitive as you would have no uptravel

if you do a shock relocation you can get more travel out of the dakars and some 5125s. I have 14" travel 5125s with ford shock towers

He's got dakars with AAL, not a stock pack. I'm running the same set up that he wants, and I only had to limit uptravel by 1", but gained 3" of droop, so that's a win for me. It performs beautifully on the trail.

Thats fine, still measure, pull out a shock go flex the truck and stuff (fully compress) the side without a side a shock all the way to bump. Measure how i stated above, and then add another .5 - .75 of an inch onto that figure to account for bump stop compression and a little extra to be safe.

Dakars with an AAL MIGHT just be thick enough to allow the extra length of the b110's

But the only way to know for sure is to measure.

Dude, I'm living this set up and it fits. I have measured which is how I knew how much to limit uptravel. With my 1" bump stop spacer it leaves 2/3" of shock left which is a safe cushion.

Oh yeah, if you go b110 you’ll need +4” rear brake lines.
