Yeah I'd be interested, by that point I should have high clearance front bumper, lockers, rock sliders, and a front skid plate installed. If that's enough I'm good. Street tires on an SR. Didn't see any reason to spend more if it is all going to get thrown out

Hey Fellas, wanted to know if anyone had any recommendations for good mechanic that really knows are trucks. I’m up in Bel air and can’t find a decent Offroad shop. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I have a buddy that owns Tamberino's and he typically buys a new vehicle every year. Each time he has work done he goes to this place:

    https://www.fhautomotive.com/

Aesthetically speaking their work is flawless. I had some tires put on some wheels there once and they did a great job. Prices are not too bad.

There is also ATO in White Marsh. They are also competent, but pricey. http://www.atoautosports.com/ Although what shop isn't pricey. They mounted my Ridge Grapplers on my Ray 10's and did a great job. No scratches LOL

I can always lend a hand if it is something simple. I have tools, air, and jack stands and a 3 ton floor jack. I rotate my own tires and have basic knowledge of the goings on with vehicles and what I don't know there is our community here, and Google. LOL

Oh, a couple of us recently spent the day down in Glen Burnie at 4 Wheel Parts. Even though they are Jeep Centric they didn't seem to biased and were eager to work with a couple TW members on a alignments taking the time to do things right and explain some things along the way. Very cool crew in the garage down there. Hell, they even performed and emergency weld on one of our members trucks he didn't even know needed to be done. Then took it back in and finished the alignment. Pretty cool for an on the spot job.

Spent last weekend at Rausch Creek. First time doing real offroading. Had a great time the trails are extremely rocky with some pretty intense sections. I thrashed two of my wheels but other then that had no problems with clearance and the 4runner performed extremely well. Now i think i am obsessed.

I passed a Jeep this morning with a Rausch Creek sticker. I don't think my Prius tires could handle it.

That sir does not look like a green trail lol I was very surprised by the level of difficulty on some of the greens. I think i handled them all fairly well. Other 4runner I was with, not so much. Lost his exhaust on a rock section lol was fixed 50 Zipties later.

Id love to go up again and hit the greens. Loads of fun, next time ill remember to roll up my windows when launching into some of those deep puddles

Haha! We started with greens, but transitioned into blues. Luckily most of them had a bypass to just go around the harder stuff if someone didn't want to try it. If not, we'd just spot each other through it. There was minimal trail carnage this trip

Might be a bit of a drive for you but Wits End Fabrication in Hanover MD has done a lot of work on my truck.

Yea but is it level and are there potholes?! I'm not a fan of too much grade and bumps!

Mostly gravel. Probably closer to light green than pink. Definitely not mall crawler worthy.
