    Hi,

im new to the forum and am excited to be here. i have a 2017 tacoma trd-off road and i just installed my new Snugtop Rebel canopy. i absolutely love it! i bought it because we are awaiting a new german shepherd puppy and wanted him to have a comfortable ride wherever we go. aside from the canopy i installed i am looking at buying some new wheels and tires. i am eyeing the Method 305 NV in matte black but not sure on size? i would like to get the BFG AT to go with them but didn't know how big of a tire i could go since i do not have a lift and everything else is pretty much stock.

any input on this topic would be extremely helpful!

    thank you,

    Welcome!

If I were buying new wheels, I would go with 17’s. You can get BFG KO2’s in 265/70/17 C load.

There are many, many threads about wheels and tires around here. Just read through the threads and ask questions. There are a lot of helpful people and good information to help in your decision.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Welcome. Set down and figure out what your end state is on modding the truck. That way you will not end up doing stuff twice and wasting a bunch of money.

    Hi there! Everyone wants pics!
265/75R16(32”)I is your size, thread going around about getting a 255/85R16 (33”) stock you may want to find..
Going to test my Goodyear Duratracs our this weekend.they are hybrid at/mt. A lot of people have been looking at other than BFG KO I have also noticed..
33” tire will probably need a cab mount chop..check your width and offset of the rim also..more info than you can handle on TW.

thank you all for the warm welcome! end result for truck would but a nice weekend camping truck that i can take to big bear every once in a while. it is also my daily driver for work here in the city (orange county ca) but i would love to have something i feel confident taking off road (but not very often) on the weekends and something for my dog to be comfortable in. i like that "off road" style truck and although right now i am not doing too much of it, i would like to have the option of doing so when more time permits

i did get the tacoma mat already :) here are some pics of my tacoma .... i ended up taking off the TRD decal after i installed the Snugtop Rebel. it sat too close to the decal and i think it looks better with it off...thoughts?
