Testfitted the new roofrack, think its gonna look good!

Ofc it started to rain! But got to rinse out the rain gutters and make ready to drill when it dries up, will start taking the roof interior apart/ losen it up so its ready.

Im a bit worried of the bolts and nuts are too smal for the mounts its self, any thoughts?

    Installed the new roofrack yesterday!

Managed to borrow one of the storage facilities from work to get out of the rain.

I changes out the m6 rivet nuts and bolts to m8 bolts and locking nuts, and added a rubber gasket to put between the roof and roofrack.

Picture from this morning, it turned out great and i’m pretty satisfied with the outcome :) Forgot to mention that i’ve changed to summertires now, looks better with the muddies on :)

Only missing now are the LEDbars and the offroadlights.

Not much has happened with the truck after i installed the roofrack. I had some start issues one morning this week so i pulled the trigger and changed out the 7,5 year old 75AH batteries with some new 80AH batteries. I also re-installed my relay harness which i had re-done which looks nicer now then it was before.

Im looking in to something that can track or monitor the health and usage of my batteries, anyone have something they can recommend?

Almost a year since I last updated this thread, sorry for that!
I hope some of you are seeing my updates on Instagram, or my Facebook page to keep you up to date!:)

Here is how she stands today!
    67225803_676928449400117_1798813791979307008_n.jpg

From the previous post I see that i was fiddling around with the LED bar and the wind deflector for it.
I ended up selling that LED bar and buying a second hand of Lazer R1000 Elite2, mounting them like you do on the Prinsu rack. After that I bought the 4 row I have in the front for wider light aspect, it's pitch dark here in the winter time, so having good lights is a safety precaution.

The plans from here on out will be upgrading to a larger RTT, with that I will also be switching out the bedrack to a DIY Go Fast camper style camper with a traditional RTT on top. This will be a project I start on later this year(hopefully), I will try to post updates along the way as I progress the build. Got a ton of ideas from @Ripcord 's DIY Wedge Camper thread!

Here are some rough 3D sketches from Sketchup that I have made the past few days.

Yet another year has passed and some upgrades have been installed since then!

DIY Canopy with iKamper copy RTT up top. Cant express how happy i am of the outcome and space we got with this.!
Canopy just got done last week. I will continue on adding more and more to it such as drawers and lights. My summer holiday start this weekend with 3 weeks off work. Its gonna be fun to put this to the test!

Arne, I'm not sure which is cooler: that you live in Norway or that when you live in Norway you can buy a Hilux!

Thanks for sharing and cheers!

I can say that i am pretty happy that i have both:D
But I'm sure that the states have more scenery and landscape to explore by car then what Norway can offer!
But Scandinavia all in all is just spectacular!

    Cheers mate!

Great build! I am so jealous of the Hilux!

Back in '07 when I bought my '99, I wanted one real bad. I couldn't get one, let alone get a dealer to even admit they existed.

Excellent job building that up Arne!

    Happy Trails!

Thank you for the kind words!

What i really want is a Tacoma 2.gen or 3.gen with a D4D 3.0 TDI engine in it! That would have been soo awesome to have!
