Was about to pull the trigger on the Bilstein 5100/OME 884 set up but might as well make sure I'm doin' it right...

I understand Marie is the person to speak with, so...Hi Marie!

I just traded in my lifted 5th gen 4runner and can't deal with the stock Tacoma stance so I need to beef it up, but just a little bit.

    Here are my details:

    - 2010 Tacoma DCLB SR5.
    - Looks like the previous owner just installed 3+1 leaf springs prior to selling/me buying.
    - No plans for armor
    - Off-road occasionally, but live in Vermont on a dirt road where I'm full-on mud bogging during mud season (March - April) every morning and night.
    - Live on 12 acres so this rig will haul lots of firewood and rocks (building a rock wall) from the property.
    - Daily driver
    - I plan on keeping my stock size tires - 265/70/16 BFG KO2s for now.
    - Measurements (it's a little wonky): DF - 19 7/8, PF - 20.5; DR - 21.5, PR - 22

I was thinking the Headstrong Coil/Bilstein 5100 Kit (HSO5BK-1) with 884 OME coils and the Deaver single AAL (since my leaf springs are new), and 1/4 spacer. I don't want too much lift so I was going to choose the 884s. Bilsteins set at 0.

Will I be too ass high with the AAL? I don't mind a little rake since I will be using the bed. And what determines if the AAL ends up providing 1.5' or 2.0"? Do you always leave in the overload leaf with an AAL? I'd like to so I can haul heavy stuff.

    Is this stuff in stock?

I'll may do a progressive AAL or get a new leaf pack eventually, but that will have to wait until next year.

    @HeadStrong Off-Road

I'm a Vermonter as well as can relate to the mud season troubles living on a dirt road. 884's and billy's set at 0 with an AAL with give you a slight rake.

We're neighbors, I'm in Middlesex. I've currently got a 1.5" rake, it's noticeable but not extreme. Think it would be worse? I'm splitting hairs here, but if I get 1.5" in back and 2" up front I'm more level. I'm overthinking this...

No, that set up will decrease your stock rake to about 1" which will be fine. My set up gives me a 1/2" rake but the truck actually looks level, so keep that in mind.

P.S. I love me some Red Hen!

what size are your ST Maxx? My other concern is that 885s + 2" in back will make my 265/70/16 ko2 look too small and tires are not in budget right now (plus I just bought the truck and the tires are brand new). That is part of why I may go with 884s with the Wheelers AAL in back as it's only 1.5" rather than the Deaver which is 1.5"-2". I don't want to end up with 2" in back...yet

And yes, love Red Hen, only bread I'll eat now. Also love trout hunting on the Mad River...

265/75/16. They are a 1/2" taller than the 265/70/16's which adds to your overall lift height. 884's with AAL is the way to go for that height.
