So going through a car wash knocked off my readio antenna where the screw is below the surface. Any ideas on how to get that out?

Haven't seen that yet. May try some sort of metal pick and see if it will turn. May be slow go. I don't think it's seized in there. If it is, you may have to replace the entire antenna. I always remove the antenna mast before I go through a car wash. I learned this after it got bent one time.

Car wash broke my original 18 foot long antenna, ended up replacing it with a shorter 14 incher.

I take it off when i go to the wash now

Mines been broken off just like that for years, and I completely forgot about it until I saw this thread. I guess I never listen to the radio, only CD's and Bluetooth.

If I decide to fix it I'd start with drilling the broken piece with a small bit and running an EZ Out to see if it'll come out. If not, just go buy a junkyard antenna assembly, again, that's "if".

What the hell is a CD?

In all honesty you can probably get lucky with a super sharp pick and try to spin it, if not drill a hole in the dead center and use a broken bolt extractor

Looked like mine. Depends if it’s tight. Mine wasn’t. I put a micro dot of epoxy on a flattened tooth pick. I then after a couple of hours I hit it with a little penetrating oil. It backed right out.

I had luck drilling a small hole dead center, then hammered a Phillips screwdriver into the hole and was able to back it out. Screw extractors and other would work similarly.

If you have a hammer and a sharp punch you can give it a tappy-tap-tap in an anti-clockwise-fashion.
