Had fun this week prepping for GFC install.
    • New camera (Canon S120) to capture the GFC in its glory
    • Changed oil in engine, front/rear diffs, and t-case. No pics. Not that much fun.
    • Installed 6 sprinter van d-rings to factory bed bolts. Best $35 mod ever!
    • @RelentlessFab Aluminium Tailgate Reinforcement. OMG, y'all need this! No questions, just buy it.
    • @KB Voodoo Steel Bed Rail Reinforcements. Seriously just buy them too, thank me later.
    • Ran the ARB 12V kit from OEM battery to starboard side rear cubby.
    • Plugged in new ARB Fridge Freezer
Enjoy the pics, many more soon to follow on Show me your GFC

Awesome! That’s the “grey” I’m guessing? Looks great on your silver Taco.

Curious, why are the black door hinges on the outside? The photos of the first production unit (white) had the hinges on the inside of the doors - hidden.

Is that the grey? It almost looks like the raw aluminum. The lighting definitely gives it the "grey" look.

Did anybody order the orange frame? I thought it was really cool, all I've seen is the grey frame so far. Also curious why yours, @08brickfjc didn't come with graphics, did you not want them?

Can the frames be ordered raw? I'd like to powder coat it with my own color!

    Hey Mountain,

I'm one of the owners of Go Fast Campers. We where assembling this platform when we realized the sunset was going to be incredible! We literally threw this platform on Wiley's Taco and gingerly rolled around the GFC compound capturing flattering angles in the setting sun. Thanks again for the support and have a great weekend

Yours are on the inside though right? Or is it a white hinge they used on yours (which if so color matching them to the walls seems like a good thing, to me with them black makes the camper look a touch cobbled together)

Cobbled is not the right word, as obviously it's not a cobbled together package. To my eye the dark hinge overemphasizes the riveting giving it a backyard/garage build sort of vibe. Dry is better than not though, especially for someone in the PNW

I like how the hinge looks externally in the picture.

Checking this thread way too often for updates.

I took the plastic caps off and nearly cried. Looks like the "rust nightmare prep" factory option must have been something I overlooked when I told them I wanted all the bells and whistles.

Eventually I will to fill each/every hole with scrap steel. Then have "over the rail" LineX applied. For now, good old silicone. Thanks for the tip!

Any pics of how you put your bead down? Maybe circles around every single hole and a single continuous bead along the inside edge?

Do you mean along the inside edge, or outside edge of the flat plane that is covered with holes? Outside would help at the carwash, inside would be more of a last line of defense...?

What cab racks is everyone going with? I remember mention of having to trim the rack and hoping a few models would work, who has been looking into this and has some more info? I want to add a cab rack for recovery tracks and what ever else I may store up there.

I’m keeping my prinsu on and we will see. They haven’t had a chance to mount it on a truck with a full cab rack yet.

Posting pics of your process would be amazing, I really want to do this as well and can’t find much info online.

Just to clarify, we did change the hinge from the inside of the panel to the outside. The main reason for that was to ensure that the hinge remains waterproof over the long term, as there is the potential for the adhesive we were using to break down over time as the hinge flexes. Having the hinge on the outside guarantees that water will shed, and really is the better design solution.
