Most my mods are in the audio system, so thats good for me. If it is infact totalled am i allowed to put the factory bumper back on and sell that 1? Never been in this situation before

In most cases they will allow you to take parts off as long as you replace them with oem. A junk yard will eventually buy your Taco if its totaled and part it out. It doesn't sound like you've got that many mods, but you can also have your insurance company adjust your coverage to cover your mods. If you have a clean record it usually doesn't cost that much more. Everything is case by case though. Good luck! and at the end of the day nobody is going to pay for your time to deal with this mess, and that's always the part that pisses me off.

Changing the brake lines really wasn’t bad. I took maybe 2 hours to swap them out and bleed the brakes because I had never done it before and took my my time.

Tips:

• put the rear on jack stands and take the rear driver side wheel and the spare off so you have more room to move around
• Clean everything with wire/nylon brushes and break parts cleaner before to keep the funk from getting in the brake system
• It’s helpful to take off the brackets holding the brake lines from frame and from the axle. It allows a little play since the hard lines are at odd angles. You need a 12mm end wrench and 12mm socket. I loosened all the hard line brackets at the axle to give it all more play.

Pic shows upper bracket held to the frame with 12mm bolts and the 10mm nut that you loosen to separate the hard and soft lines.

• Hold the now unattached bracket with a vice grip while you work the 10mm flare wrench to loosen the nut
  
• Have extra rags/paper towels, and little rubber caps to cover the open hard line at the frame when the you remove the nut. An easy answer would be to use the rubber cap from your brake bleeder temporarily (I used the rubber caps from my speed bleeders). The lines don’t spew fluid, they just sort of dribble it out. No matter what break fluid will be spilled.

The lower hard lines did not drip at all...

• Take the top nuts off, cover the hard lines, take the bottom nuts off, swap the lines somewhere more comfortable. There will be fluid in these lines! I used vice grip to pull the metal clips that hold the soft lines to the brackets and a soft blow hammer to pound them back in with the new lines

• Reattach in reverse order
• Bleed your brakes. I have a TRD off road with brake system pump and bought speed bleeders. It made the bleeding an easy 30 min process by myself. Your truck may be different.

That's definitely totaled, sorry for your accident but thank God you walked away.

When I rolled my last Taco the tow yard held it a couple days while I stripped:
- Aftermarket remote start alarm
- Double DIN head unit, 2 amps, sub, component speakers
- Optima battery
- Tons of exterior LED's
- K&N engine air filter
- Windshield wiper stalk
- Weathertechs

You get the idea. The vehicle is going to a scrap auction, they sell them as-is, who's to say what was or wasn't lost to the accident or tossed aside by EMS responders? **I am not responsible for you not having the same results**

 

Alot of times u get the option of buying it back for a ridiculously low price and u get a check, the ins. Would rather u get it back rather than deal with it, when ur done parting it out, scrap what' left

 

I want my prs 80 head unit and my 3 amps and 2 15s out. And my 8s in the door. And my 2 runs of 0 guage, also the sliders and other small things like that

 

I know there are usually a few insurance adjusters on here that chime in on accident posts, anyone know 1 to tag?

 

With the new wheels and tires not having TPMS sensors, just opened up my gauge cluster to put 2 pieces of black electrical tape over the TPMS dash light

 

Ever do a compression check?
