that would suck. The 17' GS, in F-sport trim, was a wonderful car that Idrove a couple times. I can't imagine a GSF.

Someone had posted up the Specs for our 3.5 on here a year or two ago and it had a Spec of 160K so not much different. Keep in mind that those are minimum spec and If you maintain them and don't go stupid they should have a much longer service life.

160K for a Lexus type Toyota engine ? Are you actually serious ? What's failing ?
If Ford states 150K life then you can expect it or less.
Look at the back ends of explorers cracks. Company couldn't even step up to the plate and fix that. I see them every day here and laugh my a off at Ford. Great design team.

I wouldn't trust an overheating ecodump.
I got a Camry that Toyota is warrantying for 10 years even if the dash becomes a little sticky.

I have no idea what is failing, the Toyota Document just stated the 3.5 had a Service Life Min Spec of 160k.

Like Toyota stepping up and fixing the transmission shudder/vibs in the 2nd gens. Or the weak leaf springs, or the transmission hunting for gears on the 3rd gen. How about Toyota and their issues with the CPS on the 3rd gens? Toyota is far from perfect... I'm not saying Ford is, but I'm not a lemming fanboy either. On paper, the Ranger looks like it's going to be the better truck. I'm hopeful that it is and that it gives Toyota a kick in the ass to really step up again.

Didn't they fix the CPS ? Yes. Did ford fix their issue ? No.
I have no problem with hunting for gears. If you put large tires on then yea. Regear.
    Try a 10 speed lately ???

I know a guy that has a 150 that is 5 years old that has so many repairs its ridiculous. The better truck or repair nightmare ?

Why would they specify a minimum service life over 150k? It doesn’t make them more money.

Cool, just like Toyota, completely ignore and don't acknowledge the other issues the trucks have been having. It's just the characteristic's of the truck...
It does seem like the CPS issue has been fixed. My point is that no manufacture is perfect.

Yeah I drove an IS350 F Sport and loved that car. I’m on the fence of whether to pick up one of those or a less expensive Mustang GT premium some day in the future.

Can't go wrong with either one. If you like to mod, go mustang.

Was never a fan of the Fusion or Focus (or other small Fords) - I always felt cramped in the driver seat (like they were only built for short people).

I love my Taurus SHO though... Comfortable to drive, and basically just a remote tune and a couple minor mods, and it pulls pretty hard. Once it's paid off, should be able to make it fairly rowdy.

I'd have to imagine that it will come back in some way, shape, or form again in the future, just to bring the SHO back (I'd hope at least).

    This.

All these babies who drive Taco's and drool over F150s.

    THAT is the difference ya'll.

2012 Tacoma? $0 Spent on things that "broke"
2012 F150?? Easily in the Thousands.

THIS IS WHY FORD/CHEBBY/DODGE ALL SUCK.

But No. The usual "Big 3 Jackoff Session on TW" makes perfect sense. All cause Ford has the neatest "Tech" crap. You mean this neatest shit to use while you sit on the side of the road.

Ford "sounds" are the most annoying in the industry. The door dings, the key beeps. Blow my brains out.

I work at a Ford dealership. Last month they sold 45 vehicles and only 1 was a car. Nobody wants a car anymore.
