Would buying Billy 5100s, ome coils, and an ICON add a leaf be a good idea for lifting my truck?it looks and seems to be the go to, but I was wondering what you guys thought and have done to your own.

    Yup. Pretty common solution.

Edit: I have the 5100s on four corners with 886 coils. Sold the AAL that came with the kit and am currently waiting for a leaf pack to come in the mail. Have a crappy 2 inch or so droop in the rear for now.

I heard something about "progressive pack of leafs"? are those around the same price, or would it be fine on my leafs to add a new one because they are so new.

If you load the bed down much at all I would recommend Dakar leaf packs. Also good if your stock leafs are clapped.

    Happy lifting! :militarypress:

You'll need extended 5100's in the rear if you add dakars , correct?

What about 5165's with Ressi's? be enough with Dakars or do you know?

Those should work very well. I know they are extended length but not exactly sure of the measurements.

Can you run 5160s prior to lift, at stock height, or will you max out the shock compression?

You can run 5160's at stock height. They are only ~1/4" longer than the stock 4600's on the TRD OR's when compressed.

Is the valving/remote reservoir really that much better on the 5160s than the 5100s?

As I understand it, the valving is the same between the shocks. The big advantages the 5160 has are that you get close to twice the oil capacity and, with the piston moved to the reservoir, you pick up an extra ~1.5" of travel over a 5100 of similar compressed length. The extra capacity really only comes into play when you are cycling the shock at a high frequency/amplitude.
