what are you asking me about? and I think ill stay with 2.5" until I buy something like a s/c or t/c, something with big power gains that would require me to upgrade my exhaust to accommodate for.

thanks for all the posts everyone!

oooh your talking about low rpm boosts ok ok, well if you go down in exhaust size youll get more low end but lose high end. Borla for example is a 2.25" exhaust, made out of 304 stainless thatll probably stay around longer than your truck will ( I researched the crap out of borla) the only problem is how expensive it is, I believe its in the $500 range, the best price iv found has been summitracing.com, however, gotexhaust.com, a vendor on tacomaworld, says he'll match any price you find online if you say your a Tacomaworld member.

Thanks for the advice. You say to go 2.25", but someone previously said that our exhausts were already 2.25". So doesn't this mean a low rpm boost would require between 2" and 2.25"?

aFe has a 2.5" exhaust that shows promise between 2K and 3K RPM.

I put this exhaust on in April and I like it.

I've towed with it as well and it seemed to perform at least as well as stock. Comparisons are hard to make unless you have identical conditions.

Another way to keep exhaust gas velocities high is to coat the exhaust components with a thermal barrier, ie a proper ceramic coating. Keep the heat in the exhaust gas, and not the exhaust parts, and it moves faster with more pressure.

Probably depends on what year your truck is, mines a stock 2.5" 2012 Sport but. I don't know about yours. Just measure it thats what I did or else I'd never know
