    That sucks.

Here's my temporary fix until I scrape up enough cash and time to fix:

I have found that the Costco pizza box is sturdier than most other pizza boxes.

You're welcome to use this idea, without paying any royalties.

    I did this:

3M exterior mounting tape sealed it up very well.

Looking to fab up my own mount for my 6lb Aluminum Propane tank. It’s 6- 1/4” diam.

There is an expensive PowerTank Aluminum/stainless steel or a less expensive all steel Amerex mount suggested by @Chux but I want to try to fab one up.

Is there a relatively strong cylinder clamp that anyone can recommend. This would be my starting point as far as designing a mount.

The plan is to find some real estate on my swingout to mount the tank.

    Thanks!

There’s a lot of plausible solutions..

Originally I was going to make a mount with the large fist grips I have laying around from a kit I got years ago.. kit shows the rubber grips used for tanks.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B006...=fist+grip&dpPl=1&dpID=51aIxZObo7L&ref=plSrch

    AA016BD2-D8C2-4D1C-A5ED-1FB4525A1578.jpg

Another alternative to the rubber fist grips could be large hose clamps as well..

But because the 6lb aluminum tank is not recommend to be mounted horizontal and I couldn’t mount it where I wanted, mounted using the bed rails. I chose to go with the C02 mount that @cynicalrider got. I double checked dimensions with him and it fits well. I fabbed a padlock to it as well.

Drop bracket lift and booger welds
And for the price you really can't beat it. Not worth the time to fab something up IMO.
