Good pellets. My local supplier where I also get my sausage supplies no longer is selling Lumber Jack (no idea why) but the guy swore by the brand they have now so I picked up their version of the comp blend from LJ. They are called Smoke Ring Pellets, so fr they are darn good. Did a 4 hour smoke on the sausage yesterday and the flavor is great and for some reason it seemed to use less pellets.

Interesting. Checked out their website and found "Smoke Ring Pellets can be ordered by 1/2 ton or full ton." That's a lot of pellets. Didn't see where they retail them so I checked Amazon. Good news is they carry them, bad is it's not prime so shipping adds $.

    https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_...prefix=Smoke+ring+,aps,212&crid=3RD9L1DH94LJY

I use CookingPellets 100% Hickory, which is Prime so free shipping (on a 40# bag that's good).

    https://www.amazon.com/CookinPellet...rd_wg=EIgsK&psc=1&refRID=JQ1K8Q15HRQ3013MHYM2

I also just noticed they have 100% black cherry. Never heard of that before... interesting.

Ya I saw the 1/2 and 1 Ton of pellets, if @scottalot was into Pellet Poopers that's how he'd order them. :)

I am almost out of pellets so I just placed an order on Amazon for the 40# bag of hickory. Free shipping and it will be here this Sunday. Hard to beat that.

Reverse searing a ribeye and smoking a stuffed poblano pepper.

The pepper is stuffed with shredded red potato, onion, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, a dusting of Meat Massage, then wrapped in bacon. Almost sear time on the steak!

Those poblanos were awesome. I'm definitely adding them to the rotation. I didn't get a cut picture of them, unfortunately. Plated pics!

Biscuits made on the new grill. They were really good. Next time I'll put them on the top rack so the tops brown up without the bottoms burning like they did this time.
