Oh, and the avatar, it does have a story. That's me under the truck, my nephew watching.
My Dad, my nephews, and I went backpacking outside of Silverton, CO. At the end of the trip, my truck wouldn't start. Not even a clickety click, but the radio worked. Huh, that's odd says me. Anyway, some kind Jeep folks gave us a lift back into town. We picked up my Dad's vehicle, headed to Zia (best burritos in Durango!) and a hotel to shower. I was preparing myself for the towing cost (we were aways out passed Old Hundred Mine).

Next morning, called the mechanic's shop in Silverton, told him the story, and he said "Well, fortuneately for you, there's two truths. My towtruck is out of service, we're redoing the hydraulics - that means you don't pay me a big towing bill. Second, those Tacomas don't break, they die by getting wrecked. Marmots for some reason like the signal wire to the starter. If you're comfortable doing a little work, I'd check that." And so I did. And he was right. Little chewing varmits.

And that's the day I really knew I super liked my truck. From cleaning carsick kids effluent out of the carpet, to pulling my popup camper, to taking me to backcountry Utah, to taking me to work, my truck is a key adventure partner.
