Ok, so the noise has stopped... For now at least, and hopefully forever. I am pretty damn confident it was the bushings on my new TC UCAs that were creaking. And by creaking, it was audible, but subtle.however I could definitely feel it in the floor boards! Sometimes it even made a popping sound. A few things happened all at once before the noise stopped. This whole time I had been waiting on Tire Discounters to fit me in to use my free alignment (pain in the ass). In the end I think I just need an alignment! I knew I was toe out slightly post lift!

    1. I put about 150miles on the new lift and greased the bushings through the zerks once post install. (Perhaps this helped, but I highly doubt this resolved the problem since the noise persisted)

    2. I wasn't happy with the lift from the OME 885 springs I installed(only 1.75" compared to the Dakar OME rear leafs that gave me 3+"). Because of this, I swapped them for 886's the following weekend. I was all paranoid about killing the noise so I was extra cautious to make sure the coils were seated properly and oriented correctly in the 5100 buckets. (Low confidence this solved the issue)

    3. Immediately after installing the new 886s I headed to TIre Discounters just down the road for my alignment. On the way there, I didn't recall hearing the noise, but it doesn't happen at speeds above 20mph, so I wasn't surprised. However, after driving it for nearly 5 days since, still no noise! I really think bad alignment, specifically being slightly toed out was causing excessive stress/binding on my UCA through-bolt and bushings when turning or going over road cracks/bumps at low speeds.

Anyways, not sure this is really helpful to most folks(I'm assuming they've had an alignment), but it certainly surprised me. Thanks to everyone who chimed in with curiosity and feedback.

So you think it was a bad alignment? I had that done too and I was wondering what was changed that might cause that noise. The only thing I can think is something is not tight. Anyway, I guess if it continues I will have to look at paying for another one to look at the problem.

I had a strange clunk noise myself, every time I went over a bump it I would hear a bad and loud clunk. After seeing it on a lift, the cushioner pads between the leave springs were badly worn so rear leafs when loading and unloading the trucks weight over bumps, that moment the leafs would create space then slam together making that bad clunk. A small wedge fixed in there silenced the noise for me

I went wheeling this weekend and was pretty hard on the truck. After washing all the mud off last night I got a really constant clunk coming from the front right of the truck.. it went today when everything was dry. My Total Choas UCA's are in dire need of new bushings, so I'm wondering if it's related. I'm getting new bushings/uniballs and alignment this week, so we'll see if that remedies the issue.

My LCA bushings are worn out and they definitely clunk. I'm sure that'll fix your issue if you know yours are bad.

I had a shop do the swap and they said my uniball was loose! All my UCA squeaks and groans went away after swapping bushings and ball joints... for about a week :(
