    What part of CA?

Go check a Pick-n-Pull. Other compact pickup trucks with 6 foot beds have similar shells to the Tacoma.

The taco might be back on daily duty for the summer, the AC is way better than the cruiser. :/ Like I had to turn it down because it was making me too cold.

Question for 5vz owners, is there a OEM valve cover gasket kit that you guys use? I purchased the timing belt kit already. Thanks.

I'm surprised how effective the Tacoma air conditioning is. The air gets cold much faster than it does in my E320, which takes forever even after the new compressor and system recovery.

Not really a kit. But an oem on is 34 bucks a side. If you want to super thorough you can get new half moons but I don't think it's needed. And you can get new rubber washers for the screws which I wish I'd gotten.

Ever done a Ford 5.4L Triton motor? Now those suck. The back two are under the firewall and they are two piece so they break stupid easily...

Yeah, out west they have a thing called Doctrine of prior appropriation which is the first owner to divert water may continue to do so, even if downstream owners get less water. Kinda ass backwards since water is so much more scarce than out east where you can't do that.

Ugh every day in Indy traffic. I sweat through my clothes every day. Doesn't help that I have no carpet either so the trans tunnel gets super hot and radiates into the cabin...

I have friends I do service for with that shit motor, I refuse to do plugs in it. The fact that Mac, Snapon and Matco all make a tool for extracting their plugs says Ford's screwed the pooch on that one, actually no they straight up raw dogged it with a cruise missile. Before you know it youre doing a HG job because bits fell in the motor upon extraction. Fuck that stupid three valve POS motor and the half brain chucklefuck that designed it.

Other than the plugs ours never had an issue. Still ran strong at close to 190k when we sold it. I beat the piss out of that motor when I first got my license... thought I was Ken Block out on the streets

Was thinking of doing some preventative maintenance and changing the knock sensor on the Taco while I had it apart to install meth injection. Maybe I'll actually check it out before replacing it, thing is $193 from CamelBack can't imagine how a little piezo electric microphone is that expensive but damn haha.

Damn that thing is mint, it might be illegal to transport something that nice to the rust belt though haha
