Any one have issues with the Spark getting weak signal ONLY when trying to record? Thank god it worked perfect during my whole vacation. But today went to fly and it wouldn't record. I had great signal flying but soon as i would try and record it would say weak signal and not record.

Unless the airspace is restricted in some way they can legally fly over your house as often as they want at altitudes above 500’. Depending on how built up your housing area is it might be 1000’ but that is a pretty vague section of law. A helicopter can legally fly below 500’ over populated areas. If you want to file a complaint make sure to get the N number of the aircraft to pinpoint who it is easily.

Expecting delivery of a Mavic Air tomorrow. After my venture into building my own petered out, I figured buying one that is ready to fly was my best option.

I'm thinking about buying a Spark. I have no need for one but it seems like it would be fun toy. Lots of nice places in Alaska I could get some cool footage of if I had a camera drone.

Does anyone use a Amazon fire tablet for DJI app or can I get it? Might pick the fire 10 for 100$ on Prime Day.

You'll need to sideload the app, DJI Go isn't on the Amazon store.

Just ordered a DJI Spark, so I think I can officially join this thread!

Just an idea, maybe someone wants to start and administrate a weekly drone photo or 30 second video challenge like we have for photography?

Just noticed this thread due to your post, but I got a Spark last xmas and just started messing with it. After bricking one of the batteries doing firmware upgrades, anyway. I'm using the DJI controller and an old Google Pixel 1 that is the house WiFi only phone (no SIM card), and I find that the DJI app can be a bit flaky and eats the phone battery up. Or the drone is being flaky, I don't know. Once you get everything connected happily it seems to work fine, although flight controls with one of the batteries seemed to drop for short periods even when I was really close to the drone.

Overall I am pleased with this little thing, but I need to spend some more time figuring out flight+filming techniques. I've done RC cars and helicopters, so flying this is pretty easy in non-sport mode, just need to figure out how to position it and control the camera for the best videos. Spending too much time hassling the dogs with it, lol.

I love my spark. Since it was fairly cheap I push my limits flying it. Crashed it multiple times and yet it runs perfect. (Knock on wood) make sure you always have a spare pair of props

    .
I ended up going the racing drone route. Currently flying beta85, diatone GT R90 and GT M2.5. Using moded focal fpv goggles with furious fpv diversity module and a taranis x9d plus radio. Neighbors were flying a spark los a couple of weeks ago but I didn't get to fly it.

Ordered a Mavic 2 PRO last night - shows shipped - and can't wait!! The image quality was the deciding factor for me. The zoom looks great too but the sensor, dynamic range and 1" sensor seems to be able to handle anything I can throw at it!

Wondering if anyone else is grabbing one of these - or the ZOOM?

I am sure I would be still happy with my P4 but it decided to go for a swim!! Then, when I thought I had it rescued and dried out, she attacked me and I had to put her down. I REALLY liked that drone but stuff happens. Looking forward to the M2P for the image quality and portability - lugging my P4 around got to be a bit of a hassle.

I’ve got a DJI spark up for sale, and it has no more than about 6 hours of flight time. I purchased the “fly more” combo (2 batteries, controller, charger that chargers 4 batteries at once, extra propellers and carrying bag) everything still in very good condition, plus 2 extra batteries. Combo retails for $549, but I’m asking for $500 OBO. Keep in mind I’m throwing in 2 extra batteries which go for $49 each.

JK he’s cool. Buy his spark. He never used it and thought he needed to buy a mavic air to not use now. 8/10 would recommend buying from.
