    Figured the same.

Don't want to go at it with the hand saw or sawzall. Kinda want the cuts to be straight. I'm building 4 walls for a hitch mounted basket. To create a crate of sorts for the back of the truck. Nothing fancy. Just has to contain materials for easy, on-site (no highways) transport; point A to B.

Also trying to do this on the cheap. Got the hitch carrier for $20, scrap wood = $0, have tons of wood screws and misc hardware I can throw at it, some reflective tape, some duct tape... and done.

Making straight cuts isn't that hard with a circular saw. I'm no carpenter, but when I need to make straight cuts I'll draw a straight line (obviously) and then clamp a piece of aluminum flat bar or a 2x4 to the wood and use that as a guide. Keeps the saw nice and straight.

Don't have either of those items, unfortunately. As much as I'd love to go out and purchase some tools, I cannot right now.
