    So I recently acquired a set of headlights in perfect shape. I'm planning on doing a BLHM and selling them....
    What would be a reasonable asking price for them plus swap??

    Really depends. If you’re not a business entity they won’t be as desirable for a few reasons. So, hard to say, especially since they’re not finished.

    @DukesTaco your showing of your IQ score still doesn't help.

    @T4RFTMFW
    I don't see where me not being a business entity as has anything to do with it. All I want to know is what a set of factory headlights that have been blacked out are worth? That's it.. nothing out of the ordinary.
    Not understanding their lack of "desireability" seeing how it's one of the most common mods on the 3rd gens. Please explain more

    You can get a set of brand new unmolested repros for under $400, IIRC.

    I wouldn’t buy a set of home brew headlights. Already bit me in the ass once.

    Hes basically saying, they are only worth what someone is willing to pay and most people arent willing to pay.

    It's a common mod yes, but one people either do themselves or purchase from a trusted vendor.

    Because Jim in his garage can’t sell things for as much as Jim’s Auto Parts can. Perception changes value, just like if I painted cars in my driveway with a portable shelter and a rattle can, I can’t charge as much as the auto paint place down the road.

    Hobbyists and professionals have different pricing tiers, was my point. It’s like $150 to have a business do BHLMs, so if you need a ballpark, start with that and be open to going lower since you’re not a paint shop.

    This too.

    Guys selling BHLM takeoffs aren’t making profit on this forum, only the established businesses and vendors. Even then, it isn’t much.

    Either way, I’m all for hobbies and making money doing things other people can’t do. Go for it! Just trying to help you with pricing ideas.

    It was $150 plus new housings.

    Also last year by a company who later flaked with peoples money, so YMMV. Just a reference price, not many offer just BHLM mod. It’s a lot of work.. they’re already in the housing so most companies do retro at the same time and make more money.
