My leaf springs are basically inverted how much should I budget for replacements and any links for best place to buy would be greatly appreciated. I’m old and short and I like how low the back sits. If I keep good shocks on it are the old springs a big safety hazard? Cheers

You looking at close to 900$ for new leaf springs, u less you pull some off a junk yard. If you do make sure to get 5lug leafs, 6lug leafs will lower the rear. I would also replace the u bolts while you are at it, an AAL is a cheaper option but is only really a bandaid till you get new leafs.

Or you could just go to Wheeler's Off-Road and buy a set for $459.00 I would give them a call, $900 is a lot for leaf springs.

6lug leaf springs wont work kn his truck, he needs 5lug leafs. 5lugs are sua so they have alot of arch in the packs, 6lug are soa so they are more flat and will actually lower his truck. So he cant just get aftermarket 6lug packs

Gotcha, still seems like a lot for leaf springs, but I guess not much market for the 5 lugs

All good to know. Thanks again!

Will the old ones eventually snap or just continue to sag? There is virtually no rust, just 22 years of mostly the truck’s own weight.

Depends how bad they are and how many times you inverted then. But if they are just sagging because they are just 22 years old then they most likely wont just break especially under normal driving conditions
