UCA and brakeline relocation bracket

Has anyone else seen the metal brake line contact the bottom of the upper control arm like this? I’m afraid at articulation it’s gonna rip this thing out.

 

Bend your brake line so you have clearance. That's kinda scary!

Bend with my hand? Or some pliers? They re total chaos uppers

 

Try your hands first but bend the tube over/into a large radius. You don't want to kink it by bending sharply in one spot. I would bend for clearance and check your UCA range of motion by jacking up the front of your truck.

EDIT: just go slow, a little bit at a time.

If you’re doing it in place then definitely use your hands. Go slow and easy and try not to complete the bend in 1 spot as that stuff kinks easily. If you have to use any tools try to use something that’s soft (rubber handle) or has a rounded edge.

 

Hey did you ever get to bend the brake line without issue? I have the same exact problem with the same UCA on the driver side.
