    Hey guys
After 300k plus miles I gave my 2004 Tacoma 4dr to my cousin who needed a car. I replaced it with a 2015 4dr Tacoma that I love. Problem is trying to mount my Thule 422XT racks to hold surfboards and other big things. After some research including Tacoma World I realize I need Thule's XK1 adapter kit and so far no luck finding one. If you have one you're no longer using or no of someone that does please post here. Its killing me that a part that sold for $50 is stopping me from mounting these racks and instead forcing me to spend $600 on a new setup that will fiy my truck.

    Thanks
    Louis

You can order the adapter kits directly from Thule. No need to purchase a new rack.

I believe they are called fit kits on their site.

Thanks for the quick reply. Thule doesn't sell them any longer only the XK3 which is for the new style racks. I'll keep looking here on the forum, ebay and Craiglist and hope to get lucky.

Bummer. I assume the new fit kits are not compatible with the towers you have.

If you still need the XK1 adapter, I have some in the box, like new.

DH007, do you still have the XK1 adapters or does anyone else have or know where I can get a set ? I bought used Thule 422XT racks thinking I could use the new adapters for the newer generation Xporter but that is not the case.

DH007, started a different thread before I noticed this one. Also looking the XK1 adapters for a Thule Xsporter 421 to fit a 2010 Tacoma. Wondered if you still had them. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. I was able to find a kit online through a bike shop that works with Thule. When you call Thule direct they will tell you that they no longer support that product and don't have replacement parts.
For anyone else following this thread, if you do search online you will get a Rack company in Canada that has the kit listed but when you call they will tell you it is out of stock. I found the bike shop on E-bay, can't recall the name right now. $87 for just the bracket parts. The nuts and bolts from the kit that comes with the rack work fine though.

That's exactly to a 'T' what I was going to say. The bike company has tops and bottoms you order separately.. and then have to source bolts :)

    Glad you found it!

I went a different route cause I did not have bolts and was not going to trust a whole bunch of stuff to maybe these bolts, maybe those nuts... Maybe.. nah.

I know this is a relatively old thread, but I'm also looking for an XK1 set, would anyone happen to have one?

I tried bikesomewhere.com but they said that they don't have enough of each part.

    Thanks!

Geeze, now I find this tread. I just got a 422xt rack from CL, and only have one of the XK1 adaptors that was included. IS that what is needed for the 2012 bed rails? Any luck on finding them anywhere?

Update: I could not find them anywhere online, EBAy seller had 5 of them for $40 each. Contacted CL seller and he looked around and found them! So hopefully will be getting them later this week.

I'm looking for the non Tacoma clamps for the old style 422xt. They are discontinued. Figured maybe some Tacoma owners may have them laying around.
