    Should I say this motor is a loss?? If you guys agree than I will take it down to find out what the issue is. I just need to find a motor to put in this truck first.

    Unfortunately we cant say it's a loss until you know what the problem is. If you don't feel like pulling the motor, need to camera the connecting rods and start pulling caps one at a time to check bearings...:notsure:

    If you can’t get the crank to turn with some HE-MAN strength then pull the heads off and let’s see what’s up. If anything it could become a future big bore project.

    Well that maybe good news! How do I go deeper? What should I mark and how( timeing chains ) what ever else to open up the heads?

    Pull the timing chains and pull the heads off.

    I can just unbolt it all but I think there is more detail involved to it the just pulling it off. Keep in mind I’m a rookie/ newbie at this. So if I can save this motor great if it’s junk then I will pull parts off and not worry about haveing to put this motor back together.

    The chain should come off after removing the chain slides and tensioner parts. The teeth on the cams and crank are usually color matched along with parts of the chain and you rotate the crank with the chain back on there to get it timed correctly. But to do that you gotta get that crank moving first so just take that shit right off :)

    Now the head bolts are normally torque to yield torx bolts that are quite large. I tore down a 2AR motor from a rav4 and even that had like T50 bolts or something crazy. Make sure to lay the heads down on pig mats or shop towels as well incase it is salvagable.

    Edit: I found the pics. But this pic looks wrong to me. It looks like a bent rod, but it is hard to tell. The part that has 39 on it, looks like it may be broken to on the end.

    yea man that part #39 looks bent and contacting counterweight.

    I've never seen an engine locked that tight w/o that being the case.

    I'm sure a significant enough amount of rust could do it but we just ain't seeing that.

    After pulling heads, you may be able to get by with just a rod.

    Now that you have It out, turn it over, pull the upper oil pan, and you'll easily be able to inspect the rods and whatnot.

    I bought an engine rotisserie from advanced auto parts once for like 50 bucks. Might be a good investment if you don’t have one
