4-7 Day Trip

Hey All,

I live in Orange County and I am looking for a 4-7 day trip to go on. Looking for a 1-2 day camping at each location and then continuing on to the next spot. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go? Really open to anything - desert, forest, beach, etc.. Would like areas where you could have a fire at night (I know it's hard in CA) and nothing to difficult as I would be having a few friends coming with me who don't have 4x4. Really just need to get out of the city and get out for a week adventure. Any advice would be appreciated!

Mojave Desert. Check out the New York Mountains area. lots of abandoned mines and bitchin hikes and campsites

 

Eastern sierras to Yosemite to Sequoia NF/NP, Kings canyon NP..would be epic and can camp for free at all!
