In case anyone's wondering if trails are still snowed over... This is up Logan canyon, north of Beaver mountain. Finally got to use my winch.

I’m kinda hoping I never have to use my winch.

I was just telling a fellow Taco owner yesterday how I kinda wished I would get stuck just so I could use it. Wish granted following day.

Also have to mention this guy I met yesterday. Don't know if he's on here, but his IG is @skootermiz. I've seen him around Logan a few times and yesterday when my daughter and I were gassing up to go camping, he pulls up behind me to introduce himself. When he finds out we are on our way to find a campsite, he offers to show us where he camped just the night before. Followed him up Logan canyon to a legit secluded site I may have never found. Him and his wife had no problem taking time out of their day to guide us in. :fistbump:

Anyone aware of a metal fabricator here along the Wasatch front that does sliders/skids for Tacoma’s? Looking to save on the $200+ shipping costs for a pair of sliders, if thats possible at all. Might not be but just wanted to check! Thanks all..

Have you checked out Low Range Offroad? They are located in Orem and I believe stock Trail Gear and All Pro sliders.

Yes - I researched Rocky Road’s sliders a bit, and via some convo’s here with local members found out their sliders also mount to the body of the truck as well as the frame, which of course isn’t ideal at all for flex & strength.. Not into that. Thanks tho!

The entire way to Mary Ellen Gulch in AFC is completely snow free! It's absolutely beautiful up there right now. https://youtu.be/tE-LraAfsgU

@GoJo - Thanks again for the reminder about these guys.. Goose @ LowRange was super helpful and on it. ended up pulling the trigger on the All Pro DCLB sliders, only $25 shipping cost which is next to nothing.. Still need to get them powder coated as they will be bare, anyone have good recommendations on a powder coating spot here in SLC? I’ve seen a couple online but just wondering if there are any good reviews or recommendations for any specific one..

Another local option I just learned about is TNA Performance in Ogden. I just had them install my lift and while I was there they showed me a few versions of sliders they have. They have weld on versions and are almost done with a design for bolt on.

They can customize to your needs, if you need thick walled bruisers, they’ll do it, if you want lighter thin walled HREW they can do that also. I’m interested in their light weight bolt on sliders they are finishing up the design and prototypes of now. They had a set for a 4-runner almost done that looked good. Plus they are good dudes, support your local fabricators when you can.

Midnight 4x4 is a local fab shop as well. They can make about anything you want.

They did the build on my truck. The sliders however are from RCI, which I picked up in a group buy back in November (I think it was).

They did the suspension, gears and everything in between.

Cool - good to know and appreciate the info.. I’m all about supporting local businesses wherever possible, no doubt!

Awesome.. thats great to know, much appreciated. Badass rig BTW. Very, very cool.. what is that front bumper you have installed? Looks great, I like that its lower profile.. Is it from Midnight 4x4 also? I’m in the market for a winch bumper, but lower profile, don’t want a massive full plate bumper..

Thx! I’m extremely plzd with how it turned out.

The bumper is from Addictive Desert Designs. And yea, it does have a nice profile, which like you, is what I wanted.

Curious if it came up, but do they offer a Pickup service? Could I call and order and then drive down and pick it up?

Nice, I had hoped so. I am thinking to go with TG sliders, I was going to build them outta 2x2 sqr but not sure how I like the sqr look on the 1st gens for sliders and front bumpers.

1st gens (all gens really) have too many rounded edges to make square tube look good in my mind. Newer silverados maybe...
