Ever had reliability issues with that? I’ve heard/seen them be very inconsistent.

It had some FTF issues when I first got it when I used anything except american made brass ammo. Sent it back to the and they did some spring work and it's almost 100% now. It's still a little picky with certain ammo though.

Lots of 1911s are picky but glad it works for you now. I’ve always like that little pistol.

Totally agree. Most of the classes I took I used 1911s as that's what I carry most often other than my throw away camp G26. The one 1911 style firearm I have that really doesn't give a shit about what kind of ammo is my Sig P238. It's a micro 1911 that will go bang every time even with the shittiest ammo. Not exactly a "precision" gun though. The EMP is a damn tack driver for such a small barrel though.

The P238 is a great little micro but I’m not a .380 fan in many ways. I do like how well Sig built those platforms though. The P239 is a nice little 9mm too.

Alright cosmetic question. After trimming flares. Are you using anything else to hold them on besides the little blue and orange clips? This is a question for anyone in here btw.

Na. Just the clips. You can buy them in quantity on ebay for super cheap.
I did loose a clip on a wheeling trip and the flare kept flapping around. A chewed up piece of gum worked well as a temporary fix.

I love your builds man, You should get paid to put together suspension kits and how to set them up properly to vendors especially the go fast type which I like.

Have you looked into how much modding would be needed to make that housing fit a first gen?

This in part is why ICON has so much success, despite the fact their shocks fucking suck. Excellent marketing department paired with making it easy for buyers by breaking packages into stages.

But I do this crap for me. Not anyone else and certainly not for some fake Instagram fame. If someone asks for advise, I’m happy to help and propose suggestions, but in the end this is all just a hobby for me. I make way more in tech than I ever could selling suspension packages.

It’s even easier (and cheaper) on a first gen. Don’t have to worry about tone sensors, ABS, or outer bearing shit. Just order a semi float axle and do Explorer rear disk brakes with 6x5.5 lug pattern.
