    Crank them down and they will make their own square holes. Or drill new mounting holes on the far edges in the corners where the cans won't rub against them.

    Like @SMKYTXN suggested, some rubber hose will provide a barrier between the bolt and your gas cans. It will keep the bolt from scratching or scuffing your cans and have them looking better for longer.

    I picked up a standard bumper with gate from another member a couple weeks ago. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the design and functionality of it. Probably would have gone high clearance if I ordered directly from Pelfrey but as they say, beggers can't be choosers. Only thing I noticed is that there aren't any holes drilled into the square tubes to attach the table supports. I don't mind having to drill holes myself, just wondering if this is normal or if it's a mishap?
