Check out Hornady's website. 147gr at .697 G1, and their 7mm and 338 bullets are even slippier.

And if I’m correct, and I believe I am. there is nothing else in the short acting class that comes even close, ( except for those exotic rounds that no one can afford.
    LOL )

They're out there. They are BRAND new though IIRC, so I imagine most shooters haven't had an opportunity to try them out or even hear of them. If you're looking for magnum-tier windage in a short action cartridge this is your baby I think. If they group well, that is!

Anybody know of any good muzzle brakes? The one on my gun doesn't really do too good of a job. Even though it shoots well, it jumps so bad the target is no longer visible through the the scope. Which means no fast follow up shots

I'm very happy with the witt machine & tool brake on my 308. It reduced the percieved recoil by about half.

Check out Josh’s brakes at Patriot Valley

    http://patriotvalleyarms.com/muzzle-brakes/

With a brake you’re looking for the muzzle energy to drive straight back to you as the shooter.

I would also look at your setup behind the rifle, is bipod properly loaded are you straight behind the rifle or is your body canted to one side. Are you setup too low or too high on the stock. “Muzzle flip” is not necessarily going to be taken care of with a different brake, shooter mechanics plays a huge roll as well.

Agree with ^. Are you shooting prone or from a bench? Bipod or bags?

Preloading the bipod makes a huge difference. My shooting mat has webbing sewn in to help hook the bipod feet and I can really lean into the rifle and preload the bipod. Second best is when I’m shooting in dirt and can dig the bipod feet in. Third best is wedging the lower receiver against the side of whatever barricade I’m shooting off.

But you also said .300 win mag... so yeah.

It shouldn’t really matter what the front support method is, if you are setup correctly behind the rifle, you should be able to control the recoil. By control, I mean knowing how to work with it and dissipate it. Even shooting off a ruck Hawkins prone working from the “other side” (there shouldn’t be a weak side ifen yer practicin) Granted there are calibers that recoil harder than others ie: over-pressure magnums, however if you are not setup correctly that gun is gonna kick yer butt and take yer lunch money.

The only way you are not going to experience a recoil impulse is to not pull the trigger.
