Thats the 1 time i set it up on the truck and had the pup use it. It was very easy for him to walk up and in many many years I'm sure it will come in handy for the backseat. I'm guessing it came from Amazon but i'm not sure because it was a gift I received for christmas. Being aluminum its pretty light and supports up to 300lbs.

I waited 4+ yrs after putting my last pup down. She had been with me for so long(17yrs) I wasnt ready for another dog right away. My random work schedule also made me wait since I couldnt provide a consistent schedule. Now almost a year after I rescued my current pup, the only thing i've thought about is "Why did I wait so long?".
Heres a current pic of him enjoying the shade. He should be just about max weight at ~65lbs and 1yr old.

Hes to smart and too strong for standard crates. He busted the side of one at 4-5 months and also learned how to open the door on the next one. I found one he couldnt break out of and it worked great at home but I realized on my last trip I didnt have a portable crate that I was comfortable leaving him in at friends/family places when visiting. That started the search for what would become his 4th crate within a year. Hopefully this one from Impact Dog Crates will last a lifetime because it cost a fortune. This ones really nice and is easily collapsible for trips where I need to keep him and the property we are at safe.(he gets separation anxiety and can become destructive or eat random things like socks whole)

He's the first dog I've had that requires a stronger heavy duty crate. Using the crate gives me comfort knowing he wont get out and decide a whole sock is a good thing to eat. I didnt know he had ate it since that was the first time he opened the crate door while i was gone. A day or 2 later, 2 hrs into a 9hr drive to go camping, I find out he had diarrhia but no clue what was causing it. It took him 5 days to finally poop it out.

So Woof the Magic Dragon met some cows today. Bit one right on the face. Apparently a dog's nose is so powerful that it can smell the future.

    Good ole dogs.
Gotta love'm, but dam it's so hard when they go.

Anybody on here have a European Doberman?
Every once in a while I think about getting another pup. But My last dog (Dobe) I had to put down, I held her in my arms when the vet gave her the shot. And it basically broke me from wanting another.. And it's been Yeeeeeeaars.

You all have a lot of pretty pups tho.

Speaking of puppies, gotta love puppy breath. They need to come out with a puppy breath mouth wash or spray, how nice would that be? Big hit with the ladies I bet.

My sister uses these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IGEP52K/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&smid=A1L5LSW7BHYKLJ&th=1 for her 160lb and 150lb dogs. For a gsd mix a 42" may be a good size but my Husky/GSD at 65lbs could barely stand up in that size so hes in a 48" one that is built even stronger than basic wire style. In the wire crates like that my pup turns it into a game of how do I escape today. I only crate him when no one is home or when its bed time which may change when hes not trying to eating everything.

It should work very well for that. Mine will use it as a safe spot if he gets scared or thinks hes in trouble.

Harley got his nuts removed
He hated that cone on his head so he chewed it in half. I ended up getting another one and he chewed it in half so I played McGiver and duct taped it together :rofl:He had one of his nuts inside his stomach so they had to go inside to get it. I paid nothing for him, got him from a friend. Ended paying over 400 for the surgery oh well he’s worth it to me
