Not sure I captured the picture, but if I did, I see two holes on the bottom bar. I they threaded? What are these for?

This thing looks awesome. One question, what's the height of the camper when closed?

From the base of the camper to the top when it's closed.

I zoomed in on those holes and they don't look threaded to me. It would be easy to thread them to your specifications. They look reinforced with extra steel so that the threads have more bite. They would be useful as attachment points for aluminum angle iron, flat bar or whatever to attach cabinetry, etc.

They are threaded inserts, but I’m not sure what size and pitch.

I don’t know the exact dimension but it wasn’t much. Maybe 1/8 inch max, it’s the thickness of the bulb seal when the hatch is closed.

    Just the basics
    Both.
Stock height is most important. From that people can estimate their height if they have a lift.

That's the kind of info I was looking for. I have a nice vent sitting in my garage. I think it's too big to fit though.

On mine it is about 3/16 but as rocket_scientist stated its the thickness of the seal which can vary. If you're talking about a hose clamp, no problem. If you're talking muffler clamp, it will probably rub and cause rattles and wear on the panel.

I was thinking about using strapping to attach stuff. Super thin, very strong, and a strapping tool/kit is pretty inexpensive.

I have a brand new marineco 4" day/night vent sitting in my garage. It would be nice if it would fit but I think it hangs down a 4-5 inches on the inside. I'll have to take a peek at it again. I know it was bigger than I was anticipating when I bought it.

That should work with no problem. A couple of those might make a great fire extinguisher mount but a little pricey.

This is what I wanted to mount a Rotopax. Just found out that clamp part is .110" thick, which is slightly under 1/8" . So it probably will work, but definitely don't want any rubbing.

That company makes a variety of cool things that would work well with the GFC.
I would cut a small piece of electrical tape and place it on the aluminum skin right where it would contact. Rub or not, no problemo.

Cool that’s the link i sent you about a week and a half ago. If you do get it please post how it works. I’m curious as well. I’ve got two 1 gallon Rotopax I keep on my boat that I’d love to be able to throw in the truck when appropriate.

Put the KB Voodo bed rail caps on today after work. It's a pretty quick and easy job. They've changed powder coat since I bought my tail gate cap a few years ago though. The old stuff was a nice textured matte finish, the new stuff is a glossy smooth finish. Not a big deal but I do prefer the old style. I also need to get some washers to space out the back cap where it slides over the two 10mm bolts by the tailgate. Right now it seems to be tightened back into the bedaide too far and it causes the outer edge to pull up.

    IMG_20180525_161255.jpg

I used aluminized tape to cover the holes after cleaning it all up and ran a double bead of silicone.
