    What about a trans cooler with its own fan?

    When I was in Dallas I stopped at Summit Racing since I’d never visited there before. I was walking up and down every isle checking out all the shiny stuff. Saw this and snapped a pic, thought it looked cool, no pun intended.

    @Lester Lugnut,

    You statement RE past experience could use some detail in order to better inform, it'd be helpful to know:

    1) How was cooling performance when the radiators were working?
    2) How long did you have the radiators before failure?
    3) Were you good at keeping the antifreeze properly diluted?
    4) How often did you change the antifreeze?
    5) Can you explain precisely how/where each of the radiators structurally failed- tank, tubes, fittings, mounts? Also, why do you believe they failed and what might be done to correct it?

    I had thought about that but now my plan is to shoehorn this in below the condenser and remove the stock one completely. I will have more airflow to the intercooler and the radiator can will pull air through this cooler.

    It is a 24k btu cooler. Tru cool 4920. 4920 comes with a bypass, 49201 does not.

    Yes @loginfailed that is your 1142 cut up. The nerd I am had to see what packing Vibrant used. Fiberglass.

    Highest I've seen is 201 so far with ac on blast sitting at a jobsite for a bit. Might consider this for when real summer hits though.

    1. Cooling performance was always good
    2. Don't remember exact time of failure from purchase - it was roughly about a yr.
    3. Yes - always a 50/50 mix - distilled H20 and proper coolant for said vehicle
    4. Coolant changed every 2 yrs. - '95 Rodeos used the green variety.
    5. Local radiator shop said both failures were from top of radiator.

    I take it you are associated with CSF?

    thanks much for the info. No, I am not in any way associated w/CSF but want to understand any prior system design/build flaws and how they may have addressed them before considering their upcoming Taco replacement.

    97 degF. 40% humidity. 80-100 mph for about 10 miles of toll road. 190.4 degF was as hot as I got. Awesome product.
