Now that I have almost all the things (need 2 more gas cans) I have started the Tetris.

Getting my rails started this weekend, that the Plano cases will attach to so they wont move around. I thought I only needed 2 Plano cases, but once we started packing everything I realized 3 was the only option.

I think I am going to move it all over to the passenger side, instead of centered. I wanted everything centered because OCD, but it is not the most efficient for this packing space. Moving it all to one side, will allow the chainsaw, and luggaloo and other things to fit on the driver side.

Only 1 of the cases will be accessible with out moving everything, not ideal, but how it has to be for this setup. If we just keep all the kitchen stuff in the front case that is accessible it should be perfect I hope.

    :cookiemonster:

(hi-lift and shovel will not be mounted, they will be in the bed somehow o_O)

Is the bypass close to where it is though? Line something we could get to and if we can't get through it we can take the bypass

Or would we be back tracking a lot

Bypass is open and the bridge is nee, added us maybe 30mins to the trip but we had trailers and full stuff in our trucks. If you can open the gpx file I shared you can see the swisha loop trail, a waypoint to the washout and the trail I took for the bypass

    Hey guys
I just posted on the Canada buy sell forum some Scepter jerry cans. Let me know if any of you are interested. I can bring some to Ardbeg if needed.

I have both water and fuel. The fuel have the removable yellow diesel ring, but they are clean and can be used for gas as well.

    $30 bucks a pop

Okay everyone, the time is fast approaching!

Something that we haven’t considered but was brought up as a potential problem is dust.

If we are travelling in a convoy the visibility can become non exsistent. This could cause an accident or someone getting hurt. Although radios are going to definitely help, a dust light may be helpful. Read more about it here

If you have backup lights, simply adding a amber cover is all you need. If not you could wire up something to the cigarette lighter, the trailer harness plug, anything to get a light on the back of the truck to help the guy behind you see ya before he is eating your bumper.

The dust brings up another issue. For those that are not running snorkels, you are more susceptible to getting dust in the air box. Bringing a extra air filter may be a good idea.

Definitely strobe/amber light is a must.

I was also told by @Theicemedic that @Ttaco15 tried to radio me few times to slow down but couldn't reach. Also @Joe23 had issues, rocks and hills do break up the signal often.
So I would have CBs as a backup plan and stick to FRS/GMRS radios if everyone has them.

    Definitely

The line was Dan, Ryan, Glenn then me at the back. Seemed like Glenn was the only one that could hear me.

Dan and I had gmrs as well since last time we wheeled he didn't have CB so I brought mine just in case but he had his fixed. But carried them just in case.

Worked great though .Even when Glenn or Ryan talked it was very distorted and choppy but gmrs was perfectly clear.

And I'm thinking you could even possibly get those strobe ones that are on tow trucks etc cheap at princess auto and probably plug into the 12v plug

Just curious, have any of you tuned your CB with a SWR meter?

    Yes.

I need to recheck mine .I tuned it last year but I did move it. Not in height just in the middle of the truck now and it's working terribly now .Will check this week but still gmrs works so much better
