Looking to replace my factory goodyears on my 16 TRD OR.
Keeping my stock wheels but moving slightly up to 265/75/16. Want to keep the weight down and maintain gas mileage but still have good off-road quality.
I'm 90% highway so road manners with some ability for moderate off-road would be nice.
    Durability, balancing are also important.
Advice welcome as I'm struggling to make a decision.

The Falken Wildpeak A/T3W is a good choice depending on what you are looking for in your next tire. We get a lot of solid feedback from our customers running this tire.

There are many posts on this forum from people running this tire with good results. The Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires look good, ride smooth and have solid traction.

Discount Tire Direct guarantees the lowest delivered price on the internet for all the products they carry, if you happen to find a lower delivered price send us a PM with a link to the price and we will beat it.

I have 16,000 on my Falken AT3 265/75/16 P rated tires. Great traction IMO on and offroad. Great in the rain. I have liked these tires very much but .....

Now this could just be a fluke as I am sure this could happen to any tire. Saturday I ended up on a trail that was steep and rocky. I do not recall seeing any sharp rocks when spotting. Just posting this to see if anyone else has a similar experience. Again, this could have happened anywhere. I discovered this when I washed the truck.

@Discount Tire Direct , question for you. Are you able to source the stock 4Runner TRD Pro Wheels (matte black) along with TPMS sensors and 265/70-17 Wildpeaks? It’d be nice to not have to source things separately.

Before my lift I went with BFG KO2s and liked them so much I went with them after my lift too. Balancing was road force to get it right but it worked out well. Upgrading tires from the OEM touring tires to all terrains starts the bad ass building processes, get out your check book too!

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we can't order the stock 4Runner TRD Pro wheels. Just in case here is a link where you can search our wheels by size if you decide to go aftermarket. During our memorial Day Sale ther is a $100.00 mail-in rebate for wheels and $75.00 for a set of the Wildpeaks.

Search Tires or Wheels | Discount tire Direct

Please let us know if there another wheel that will work.

Wow that looks like a cut from road hazards, I'd regulate that tire as a spare unless you have road hazard replacement insurance. I'm really impressed with the performance in rain, snow and ice. On rocky terrain they do exceptionally well. Sorry that happened to you but it would happen to any tire on the road or off. On a side note I've seen tires ruined by environmentalist saboteurs here in kali putting sharp spikes on our 4X trails. Just saying.

Hankook Dynapro ATM LT265/70r16 have been great for me. I really appreciate the LT's on rocks and in ruts. Handle the road well. Got them for 143 each.

Upon reflection, I completely agree on the road hazard as it is too clean of a cut. The cut was deep enough I just replaced it.

OMG. on my 4runner all I ever used were LTX m/s,

these defenders on Trucky are more awesome than ltx m/s on 4runner.
