Its virtually impossible to completely seal without removing the bedrail cap and sealing that. And even getting a solid seal on that is a chore.

Post #6 in that thread is what I did to stop my leaking. I didn't leak like crazy but water was clearly obvious after the car wash. None since doing the fixes.

Nice find with that front gasket. I am going to order that and a tailgate seal.
The bedrail isn’t a huge problem for me, because my cap is a Century. It sits below the bedrail line. The front though is a different story.

@HawkShot99 Did you get the regular front gasket? I ended up going with the XL because the gap is over .5"

I put in some temporary gasket material until the thick stuff gets here. I decided to put the drawers in anyway. Very happy with the way they turned out. Even under weight they glide very nicely.
Now I need to get a bedslide to put on top and I will be set.

I'm seriously digging your set progress man. Going to mirror it hard, but have to re-measure for bed stiffeners and aluminum cap door

What was your choice of finishing wood, looks like ash but either way I'm going that route instead of covering it with carpet.

How much would you say your system weighs, and..why don't you have a truck build thread haha

Mine is based off of the Pask Makes guy on YouTube but if you have any questions. I will be happy to answer.
Honestly not sure what the faces are, my boss had a bunch of scrap in his shop and I used that.
I can’t say for sure what the weight is but I would guess around 125#. I have Dakars in the rear but even completely full with tools the truck still looks and rides the same.
Good luck and def post pics!

Well, maybe not the OZ. He probably has a nicer shop/tool selection.

I got lucky and got em on ebay from a Canadian surplus place. They were still more expensive then if were able to just buy them directly from a shop in Canada... but not nearly as expensive as they are going for right now on ebay. It seems they are getting stricter about importing them since most of the places wont ship to US and even alot of the ebay guys arent shipping them to the US.

Your best bet would be to make friends with someone in Canada and have them ship you a couple.

Only $80 Canadian at Princess Auto... thats $65 US....

They are definitely worth it though! No leaks what so ever, you can store it on its side full and no issues.

Thanks again for the info. Ended up with the XL. Fits perfect and seems to be watertight, even before the silicone on the bed rails.

Decided to go sliderless route and just do wood on wood. Haven't tried it under too much weight yet but so far so good. Super stoked on it. Just have to find some sort of mattress to put back there! Also accepting patch donations:D

I really love your wood tailgate skin. I've been wanting to do this for a while, any tips/advice?

This is a pretty plush looking mattress:

Thanks man! I went out to change my oil and ended up doing this instead! I just removed the stock one and laid it over the wood traced it out and cut out the pieces. Its pretty simple but you have to take the edge off of the side thats closest to the bed because if you don't it wont close right. You'll see. But its pretty simple. I just had some wood flooring laying around and used that.

Picked up a used Cargoglide today. This new setup is going to be a game changer for me in regards to organization.

Did you go with HD drawer sliders? I’ve seen some 5’ HD sliders that holds 500 lbs on Amazon but kind of pricey.
