After you get sidewall damage to a few bfg tires yourself and have buddies constantly get damage... that’s why I can say that

I like my falkens and was going to get them again when mine run out but I jumped on the ST Maxx train during the last DTD eBay deal. For the same price as a set of 265/70r17 falkens in P, I got 255/80r17 ST Maxx but 10ply . 10lbs heavier per tire, slightly taller, and I only lost about 1mpg.

Went from 285/75/16 BFG’s to Wildpeaks. Stoked on the decision of going this route, love these tires. Was swayed by reports of KO2 having a short life span compared to original KO’s.

Seems like the 75% of Score racers don't have that problem.

None of those racers run KO2 street series... thanks for validating my point. Those race tires they use with the red and blue lettering are kevlar sidewalls....

What? Next thing you're going to try to tell me is that those Toyota Camrys racing around on Sundays with NASCAR stickers all over them aren't the same as the Toyota Camry I can buy at my local Toyota dealership.

Oh yes those are the same! You just have to tell the toyota sales rep that you want the "special" package, when purchasing the car:D:spending:

Then its basically a race car:anonymous:....thats what i'm told anyways:evil:

You just said bfg not Ko2, but yes they are still number one. Those tires have one job and that is finishing the race. Some of that technology trickles down to their regular tires. We could argue tires all day but the fact is cooper doesn't win shit when it come to desert racing. Have a good day man.

I'm in the needing new tire boat right now.. Considering going with KO2s again (what I have now/load C), they've been pretty good, lasting a good while, I need to look at when I had them put on (as far as milage, I know it's a good bit).. I got them when they first came out. The first set, I had two bad tires, Discount took care of it, bc I got the warranty (well worth the extra $ for that), before I'd just gone thru Two total sets of horrible tires that would not balance and pulled (dangerously "St maxx's)). Those were Cooper ST Maxx, and Dura Tracs. My experience wasn't good with those.

I'm considering these Falkens, but I'm wondering if the the tread wear would be as good as the KO2s.

I had GG AT2s for my first non stock set, I had load Ps. I liked the tires. They were really quite and rode really cushy.. I'd recommend them especially if you mainly stay on the road and don't haul any heavy loads..
I popped a hole in my Grabbers out on a trail, but in fairness they were at the end of the tire life, and I needed a new set.
But, from my experience I'd consider them a good value for the money and a fairly aggressive looking and good performing tire in all conditions (not hardcore off roading) but as far as grip in diff terrain/conditions, snow, rain, mud etc. A decent well rounded everyday tire.

    Same q I have.

Well the 660 rating seems to hold true. I love them , and will replace them with the same thing but bigger next time.

To further zombify this thread... All of you are buying these in LT and not P, correct? There are separate ebay listings for each model and I'm considering picking some up to be mounted and balanced when I install my lift.

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with either, just depends what you are looking for in ride, drive terrain, and money. I have enjoyed the Wildpeaks.

It'd be nice to be pleasured by a set of tires. For once find that perfect set.
