I ordered SL. I'm a 95% on road and 5% off road guy. Didn't want the mpg hit and since so many have said the SL work great off road, I figured I would just stay with that.

I share the same experience. Attracted by their appearance, overall good reviews and low cost, I selected a set of 265/75-16, in Load Range SL, for my new DCSB Off Road and had balance problems from the get-go. The staff at Discount Tire were wonderful to deal with, but simply could not get two tires to balance out. Initially, I wanted the lighter tire to help with fuel economy, as opposed to the heavier E1; however, Discount offered to switch me out to something else. Based on previous experience with BFG I went ahead with the heavier KO2's and, much to my surprise, they didn't drive like bricks, did not drag fuel mileage down as anticipated, and were exceptionally smooth. Props to Discount Tire for delivering excellent customer service in a timely manner, because with the Falken Wildpeaks I was not happy.

Have you had any balance issues with these tires? I’d appreciate a PM with that code, if you are willing to share.

No balancing issues.... I run the warranty/adjustment dept. at the tire warehouse I work for it’s rare when in fact a Wildpeak comes back to us for defects. Out of the thousands that are made I’m sure there’s a few that we’re made from a bad mold. I recent saw Discount Tire member help out a member who had a bad set, But as Discount Tire member can vouch for it’s extremely rare. I’ll PM

    What a fun truck!
Same here. I’m picking up my FN FX Pros next week then headed back to the tire shop to have everything installed. So pumped!

I’m having to get rid of my wheels and tires, although when I upgrade the tires on my current truck I’ll be coming back to the Wildpeaks. Smooth ride, awesome price, and they look aggressive.

Ah...finally someone with stock 265/70/16s. How have they been for you?
Have you taken a hit with MPG or has it been about the same?

They’ve been fantastic. I don’t think I’ll run any other tires anytime soon. I used them in a variety of terrains and conditions and they continue to impress me. MPG is unchanged but I have noticed I like the ride better and they are quieter than stock on road.

I don’t have any complaints about them. They are great tires. I thought about going up a size but I’m perfectly happy with the stock size.

Which year/model came with 265/70/16? I have an 07 that stock came with 245/75/16. I went with 265/75/16. What's the rationale with less sidewall? I can understand with 17s, but why 16s?

The off-road has 265/70/16 stock. I could go to a 75 but figured I’d run stock size for now. In the grand scheme of things, a half inch of clearance doesn’t really do much for me, at least today.

    Any TRD Off-Road came with 265/70R16's. 245/75R16's came on Base/SR5 Pre-Runners and 4X4's.

I don't off-road but seems counter intuitive kinda like 5 or 6 lugs...

245/75/16 and 265/70/16 are essentially the same diameter tire, and so have the same sidewall height.

Only difference is one tire is a little wider than the other.

Yes thank you I understand standard the values but seems folk that off road seek more side wall not necessarily more width
