Hey everyone, after years of making ribs and trying different smoking methods, rubs and recipes, I finally nailed it! The flavor is unreal not only due to the two different rubs that I used but the entire process and the use of cherry wood. There is no BBQ sauce on these. Hopefully you will enjoy this video recipe and will be able to use something from it. The next video will be Asian ribs

Nice video. Your channel, I assume?

My method isn't altogether different from that in terms of unwrapped, short wrap, finish unwrapped, so if I'm going to try that recipe, I need some info on the rubs used!

The resulting product looks good! Nice job putting the video together. I've tried for our BBQ team, but a videographer I am not .

Yes my video and channel. Thank you I will try to get exact measurements on the two rubs that I use. I do a lot by feel but really need to get these things down on paper with specific measurements so I can share them. The two things you can take away now are this..
    1. If you watched it all the way through, you saw me talk about a half teaspoon of cocoa power in that entire shaker of rub. Huge difference.
    2. Then, at the end taking a pile of rub and putting a few drops of pineapple juice (or liquid of your choosing). Just enough to turn it into a paste (NOT A SAUCE) and then baste that on for the last 30-45 min. It tightens everything up and turns it into a meat candy apple.

I did watch it all! The cocoa powder is an interesting idea. I've used coffee grounds before - both fresh ground and spent.

Do you do a lot of BBQ stuff in your videos? (I haven't had much time to go perusing!)

Any interest in maybe reviewing a BBQ rub?!? :D

I only started adding the recipe videos about 6 months ago. So far, I have done smoked whole chicken, pork shoulder, the ribs and some burgers. Other recipes too but those are the BBQ ones so far. I have a while list of them planned it just takes time to get it all done. There will be a while burger series (have two so far), more ribs (brined, Asian, etc). three different types of wings, steaks, all just for starters.

Thanks for watching and yeah I would review a rub. Do you have one in mind?
