Exotic Pets / Pets out of the "Norm"

This thread makes me miss my emperor scorpion and Mexican red rump tarantula. I had that tarantula for 8 years before she died.

 

Ive thought about getting another lizard. Maybe a Uroplatus or a chameleon. Uros seem to be a little more hardy.

 

I had a day gecko 16yrs ago awesome lizard.

I currently also keep repltiles. Mostly Cornsnakes, but I also have an MBK, an IJ and a few Created Geckos.

I used to have ferrets (mostly private bred).

Browsing this thread made me remember my tattoo artist told me he had a tortoise that roamed his house. Not sure what kind or any of that. Just remember thinking that was pretty neat. Vaguely remember him saying it shit a lot though. Lol

 

Here’s my guy. I know this sounds weird but he’s basically my best friend. He’s 14 now and I’ve had him since he was weaned. With luck he’ll accompany me to my nursing home when I’m 80. He’s super chill, basically just wants snacks and cuddles and head scratches, he’s potty trained (yes! A potty trained bird who will fly back to his cage to do his business) and just wants to be loved. His favorite foods include carrots, almonds, Hint-Of-Lime Tostitos, pizza crust, and basically anything he can steal from my plate.

 

This thread scares me! I’m glad Hawaii doesn’t have such animals! Lol I’d be freaked out to go up to the mountains! They are fascinating animals though!

 

Used to catch those all the time in the Nevada desert. What snake is in the last 2 pics? Looks familiar just can't place it.

 

Meh, never been good with science names. Lol we just called them horny toads

Yup lol he’s already killed and eaten 6 feeder fish

 

They’re pretty wicked. We pull 4-footers off limb lines on the Missouri River when catfishing all the time. Mean suckers.

 

I hope you have a swimming pool to transfer it too .

he’ll get decent sized for sure just not quite pool status lol. He’ll get a custom built tank.
