I just retired my 2000 5 lug. 470k on it, never been in the engine. It's still on the road, my son is driving it now. Asside from normal maintenance I replaced the VCG twice, Radiator, alternator, and water pump. Best truck I've ever had.

One thing I sometimes forget, but you have to keep in mind on mileage is the difference between a vehicle with mostly highway miles and one with more city miles. You could have a Tacoma with 100,000 miles of highway driving would = 10,000 miles of city driving. Highway miles causes almost no wear on a vehicle, but city driving is just the opposite.

My 2017 SR has 74k. No problems other than that stupid dash rattles.

Intermittent wipers for starters, just bought the truck 2 weeks ago
I had a 94 2wd 5 speed manual pickup I bought new. I drove it for 14 years and put almost 274,000 miles on it. Most of the mileage was highway miles, since I drove 76 miles a day to and from work. I had to replace the timing chain at 170,000 miles and new head gasket around 270,000, but radiator fluid would still boil out if I filled the radiator to the top. I got rid of it after that. it was a good truck and had served me well, over the years.

Just purchased an 07 access cab 5spd 2.7 with 296k on it. Runs good so far. It was dealer maintained by previous owner. As far as I know all original except frame being replaced. Does have some oil leaks and may need new clutch soon.

My sons DD is a 2000 2.7l with 332,000 moles on it . Had to do the head last year and just did the master cylinder and brake booster. Besides that regular maintenance and gas. We love the truck and plan on keeping it till it can't go no more

Drove it on a 3 week 6000+ mile rode trip last summer. Besides a bad ignition coil, no other issues.
Thinking of doing the same this summer.

2010 with 151k 5 speed manual no major issues or concerns other than the leaking power steering rack. Which was a simple fix ditch the rack and run a straight line....

What’s the TW statue of limitations on liking a post? I just liked one from 2013 in this thread. Couldn’t help myself it’s a 2.7L thread.
