    We can get some recovery pics for the gram, but yeah it's 4WD, no lockers or fancy stuff to make it true 4x4. But the driver has confidence he can take his work truck all manner of places. LOL.

    Surprisingly the added ground wire didn't do much to my SWR. I'm still sitting around 1.6. I guess I could try the 4' Firefly or firestik II... Or live with it.20180606_193432.jpg

    Yes it does. That swr is after tuning. It's 1.7 on 1 and 1.6 on 40.

    The other side of the ground wire is attached to the frame, which I sanded the paint off to bare metal and used dielectric grease.

    I'm thinking my next best option is to try the 4' given that some people have had bad luck with the 3'. Or redo my
    $38 pl259 USA made PL-259 improved double shielded rg-58u for firestik antenna K-8A 18-foot single cb/ham coax cable
    pl259.. but I'm pretty confident that's ok.
