i have the opportunity to pickup a bed extender for $80 on my local letgo app. I may be able to negotiate it a little less as well.

It’s basically brand new with all hardware. Another Marine down the road who is moving away.

My question is, for those of you with these, what uses have you found for it/ how often do you use it?

Should I pull the trigger? I am genuinely curious how much I may use it if I get it or if I will find myself in a similar situation where I am trying to offload it.

If you have motorcycles it is a must have... I use mine all the time. And not just for hauling the bikes around but it’s really helpful if you ever have to take big load of crap to the dump, or haul long(ish) lumber. It’s also helpful when it’s folded into the bed with the tailgate up as a divider. I typically use it when I go camping to separate the firewood from the rest of my gear.

I think you sold me on the divider for groceries...

I still need a bed mat.

You'd better snatch it up! Check out the price of one new and you won't think twice about buying it! I was lucky to have a buddy who sold his Taco and forgot about the extender buried in his garage till I asked him about it several weeks later. Brand new condition for $100 and about $20 for the brackets online. That thing is damned convenient and worth every penny!

I had one on my last truck....Frontier 4x4 double cab short bed.

I drove it 11 years and used the extender on one time that I can remember.

Now....that being said...It easily flipped out of the way and was very, very useful on that one time it was needed.
