Hi there, I'm in a bit of a quandry. I'm a new '99 Tacoma owner and have the V6 4x4, so have the smaller square-ish bumper mounted turn signal lamp.

Recently the wiring harness separated from the back of the signal lamp. Toyota doesn't have a replacement connector, and suggested I go to a local wrecking yard, which didn't have any Tacoma's for me to cut wiring harnesses off of.

Any suggestions? I've purchased a new turn signal lamp, just need to figure a way to get it connected to the bare wires. IMG_1949.jpg IMG_1951.jpg IMG_1953.jpg IMG_1954.jpg IMG_1956.jpg

Thanks much! I've ordered these parts and will make the repair. Exactly what I was looking for! I'll follow up with an update after I receive the parts.

You will just need to insert the repair wires into the connector (they just push in). Then you can solder those wires onto your existing wires. The new wires will both be the same color, but as long as your stock wires are there you can tell which is which.

For future reference (and people that are trying to save a few bucks), I had this exact problem. I reused my connector body, carefully removing the wires and pins, then reinstalled new pins and seals (with new wiring that I crimped on myself). Pins and seals (and many toyota connector shells) are available here: https://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/

I ordered those parts as you recommended, from Conicelli Toyota. They came on Monday, and fixed me up PERFECTLY! Thanks a TON for your help, couldn't have done it without it!

Didn't want to go the soldering route, however butt connectors did the job perfectly for me.

Glad I could help. You should keep those 2 documents from post 2 handy so you can find and replace any other connector on your truck.
